On July 5, 2023, Huizhou EVE Energy Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "EVE ") was invited by AYK to participate in the opening and commissioning ceremony of China's first new energy Marine power battery system automation manufacturing base, and reached strategic cooperation with AYK in the field of Marine power at the scene to jointly develop the blue ocean market of international Marine power battery systems.
At the event, Mr. Chen Xiang, vice president of EVE Energy and CEO of EVE Energy Storage, delivered a speech, saying that the production of the Zhuhai base of AYK has greatly improved our confidence in long-term stable cooperation. In the future, EVE will strengthen the resource sharing and complementary advantages in ship power with AYK, and promote the green and high-quality development of global shipping in a win-win situation.
Mr. Ao Xiang, general manager of the Marine and Port Sales Department of EVE Energy, and Mr. Hu Zhimin, Chief Operating officer of AYC, signed the strategic cooperation, and representatives of Wartsila, ABB, Falcon, AYC and other representatives witnessed the signing.
AYK is the first company in China to obtain DNV certification for lithium iron phosphate batteries, and has brought lithium iron phosphate batteries into the international large ship market, and has successively passed LR, BV, RINA, CRS, European inland shipping and other certifications, and is the earliest and most international first-class classification society enterprises in China. This time, China's first new energy Marine power battery system automation manufacturing base built by AYK, the first phase of production capacity of 300MWh Marine power battery system.
EVE is the world's leading lithium battery platform, and a number of its cell products have been supplied to the integrated system solutions of AYK. As one of the first domestic lithium-ion battery manufacturers to enter the Marine field, our products from cell to battery pack to battery system level have obtained CCS, DNV, ABS and other classification society certificates, from small cruise ships, cargo ships, offshore farming platforms, to large ocean-going hybrid ships, batteries have covered most of the application scenarios. By the end of 2022, about 50% of domestic electric ships will be equipped with EVE battery solutions, and the installed number will exceed 330.
Both sides have been deeply engaged in the Marine power industry for many years, and have a long-term and stable cooperation foundation and broad development prospects. In the future, we will continue to adhere to the mission of "credible and reliable, harmonious development", and join hands with AYK to accelerate the low-carbon process of global shipping and make outstanding contributions to the sustainable development of mankind.
