On November 15th, the 4th International Summit on Power Battery Application (CBIS2019) with the theme of "Hand in Hand· Innovation of the Future of the Industrial Chain" was grandly held in Tianjin. Dr. Liu Jincheng, chairman of EVE, was invited to attend the conference and gave a keynote speech on "Lithium battery Solution of Next Generation ", pointed out that safety and reliability should be a natural property of power batteries.
At the "Lixiang Award" celebration dinner, Dr. Liu Jincheng himself was awarded “Special Contribution Award to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of China" and “Person of the Year 2019" and EVE was awarded “2019 Product Trust Award”.
At this summit, leaders of industry authorities such as power batteries, new energy vehicles, battery materials, lithium battery equipment, third-party agencies, commercial officials of embassies (institutions) in China, experts and scholars from UK, Philippine, India, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, EU and other countries and regions and representatives of mainstream domestic and foreign industrial chain companies gathered in Tianjin to take a closer look at the development of the power battery and new energy vehicle industry in the new situation, which has an important influence.
Chairman Liu shared at the meeting that "next generation" has three levels of meaning: first, the next generation with and without state subsidies; second, lithium battery technology of the next generation must be related to the electric vehicles of next generation; third is the battery people of next generation. The battery people must plan the battery research and development according to the automobile industry development path so that the entire industry can develop in a healthy and orderly manner. Safety and reliability should be the natural property of power batteries. The so-called natural property is property that must be possessed first. The safety performance of power batteries is not an objective to be achieved, or even a balanced condition because it is impossible to replace the basic requirement of safety with any one indicator.
Chairman Liu pointed out that based on this theoretical understanding and judgment, EVE also has its unique thinking. The first is not to pursue unlimited expansion; the second is to emphasize creativity. A thousand-person research institute will be built next year, and about 1 billion investment will be made each year for technical research and some high-standard implementation and creation in the production process. The third is to continue to focus on high-reliability products. In the future, new energy vehicles will not only be electric vehicles. They will be new types of vehicles that include sharing, intelligent driving, and 5G information and the mileage will no longer be the main reference indicator.
