On December 14th, the EVE Energy Malaysia Plant Equipment Entry Event was successfully held, with cooperation agreements being signed with many clients at the venue. Li Junling, Deputy Mayor of Huizhou Municipal People's Government and her delegation; YBhg. Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, CEO of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA); YB. Prof Dr. Haim Hilman Bin Abdullah, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Kedah; YBhg. Dato' Dr. Nadzman Bin Mustaffa, Timbalan Setiausaha Kerajaan (Pengurusan) and Ketua Pegawai Digital Negeri Kedah; YBhg. Dato' Elmi Bin Yusoff, Yang Di Pertua Majlis Perbandaran Kulim, and other esteemed Malaysian government officials; Liu Jianhua, Co-founder and CEO of EVE Energy; Vincent Wong, Senior Vice President of EVE Energy, and other company executives were in attendance, along with many international clients who came to witness the event together.
EVE Energy possesses more than 20 years of experience in the research, development, and manufacturing of cylindrical batteries. Leveraging its comprehensive range of full-solution, all-scenario, full-system, and various-sized cylindrical battery products, the company has supplied over 3 billion cylindrical batteries globally. The Malaysia plant, which serves as EVE Energy's 53rd factory, specializes in producing cylindrical batteries for electric tools and electric two-wheelers. It is committed to evolving into an international cylindrical battery industrial park and represents a crucial component of EVE Energy's strategic layout for "Global Manufacturing, Global Collaboration, and Global Services."
Vincent Wong, Senior Vice President of EVE Energy, explained on-site that the Malaysia plant, having commenced construction in August 2023, has achieved a remarkable milestone by completing its construction in just 16 months. With equipment now being installed, the plant is expected to commence production in the first quarter of next year. Upon completion, it will become EVE Energy's first overseas factory to achieve mass production and delivery, further bolstering its presence in markets such as ASEAN, Europe and North America, and fully meeting the product demands of its clients.
The Malaysian plant has fully integrated automation equipment throughout its whole production processes, achieving industry-leading levels of automation and possessing the capacity to produce 680 million cylindrical batteries annually. Furthermore, it has developed comprehensive digital and intelligent lifecycle and full-chain management capabilities, ensuring both production efficiency and product quality. The plant remains steadfast in its commitment to providing clients with high-quality battery products.
YBhg. Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), congratulated EVE Energy on the significant breakthrough achieved in the construction of its Malaysian plant. He stated, "In the face of increasingly severe climate change challenges, energy transition and low-carbon development will be the core of future industries. The Malaysian government attaches great importance to this and is moving forward hand-in-hand with EVE Energy. Together, we aim to promote local economic growth and technological innovation while advancing Malaysia's energy transition and sustainable development."

Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Bin Abdullah, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Kedah, expressed that the establishment of EVE Energy's first overseas plant in Kedah has given wings to the state's economic take-off and industrial innovation. This plant stands as a shining beacon of technology and productivity, creating 2,000 valuable job opportunities and contributing to the vigorous development of the local economy. Simultaneously, it provides a powerful impetus for global sustainable development.
Li Junling, Deputy Mayor of the Huizhou Municipal People's Government, stated that EVE Energy has built a solid platform for friendly cooperation between China and Malaysia, actively promoting industrial cooperation, technological innovation, and talent cultivation in the renewable energy sector between Huizhou and Malaysia. Today, EVE Energy has taken another step forward in its strategic layout in the international market. Liu Jianhua, Co-founder and CEO of EVE Energy, delivered a speech on behalf of the company, expressing sincere gratitude to the government leaders and guests who had traveled far to attend. He introduced that China and Malaysia are good neighbours and friends spanning millennia, and comprehensive strategic partners. The construction of EVE Energy's Malaysian plant will further promote cooperation and exchanges between China and Malaysia in the field of new energy. Totally 10 representatives, including officials from the Huizhou government, the Malaysian government, and senior executives of EVE Energy, jointly ascended the stage to press the start button, announcing the official arrival of the 1st batch of equipment at EVE Energy's Malaysian plant, marking a new phase in its construction!
YB. Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Bin Abdullah, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Kedah, presented an honorary plaque titled "Strategic Partner Industrial Park of Kedah State" to EVE Energy on behalf of the government. He Yingshen, Director and General Manager of EVE Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd, accepted the plaque on behalf of the company. This not only symbolizes the further development of the cooperative relationship between Kedah State and EVE Energy but also acknowledges the efforts made by EVE Energy in driving local economic development.
At the ceremony, EVE Energy signed strategic cooperation agreements with several clients, including Greenworks, Chervon, and JTI, to further deepen their collaborative relationships and jointly write a new chapter together.
